The documentary
The first documentary film of the club at the Croix de Lorraine, retracing the entire history of FC Metz since its creation in 1932. The history of the club is closely linked to that of Lorraine: the first players came from mining families and were keen to defend the colors of their region, which was only reinforced by the annexation of the Moselle to Germany between 1940 and 1945 only served to reinforce this; then, in 1984, the victory in the Coupe de France against Monaco provided a showcase for the battles to save the Lorraine steel industry, in vain; and finally, in 1998, the club made a lasting impression by reaching 2nd place in the French Championship. Ups and downs and unforgettable moments that take us back to the days of Patrick Battiston, goalkeeper André Rey, the Nico Braun/Hugo Curioni duo, Jules Bocandé and Jean-Paul Bernad, right up to the “PP gunmen” Robert Pirès and Cyrille Pouget.
