The group, founded in 1979 by Jacob Desvarieux, Georges, and Pierre-Édouard Décimus, has become legendary. By putting Guadeloupe and Martinique on the global musical map, Kassav’ helped zouk travel the world. Taken by Covid in 2021, Jacob Desvarieux leaves a huge void behind him.
