Over the past thirty years, the French textile industry has relocated almost all of its production. Thousands of jobs have been lost. Today, “Made in France” is a quality and reputation issue, and we are witnessing the beginnings of “reshoring.” Building on this trend, a sewing workshop is setting up shop in the Picardy town of Ham. From the selection of candidates to the delivery of the first orders, a year of hopes and doubts for sewing enthusiasts hoping to land a job.
